The Waikato Montessori Charitable Trust is a registered Charitable Trust established by local parents in 1998. The
motto of the Trust is “Let us give the child a vision of the universe”,
a quote from Dr. Maria Montessori. This underlines the goal of a
Montessori education - to provide opportunities for the child to
explore all possibilities without placing limits on their learning; to
educate the human potential. The Waikato Montessori Charitable Trust offers a continuum of Montessori options for children aged 6-11 years.
The first classroom to open was in 2001 with 11 pupils in our 6-9yr olds at Silverdale Normal School. We currenlty have one classroom ranging in age from 6-11.
We have a strong and steadily growing community that fosters parent interaction, socialising and a supportive network.
